The book of lost words. Prologue

These written words are a humble way of fixing the words that are blowed by the wind, that are wear out in our ears for the habit of listening them, though somehow they defining lots of nowadays people’s lifes.

What would it be like for us, the ones that don’t need to beg money from others, to find ourselves in the neccessity of building up a narration of our lives in such few words, enumeration of our signs of survivor´s identity, condensation of our most devasting livings? And all of it in order to obtain legitimacy to ask for and receive money from a public saturated by tragedies (“there are so many of them”), almost disgusted by the shamelessness of been poor.

In the reading or listening of one of this speeches, the ordinary existence of the citizen is leant out on a possible cause of fracture, a key moment which directly refers to the bases of that existence which usually is taken for granted. The presence of a person that through an act of communication pretends to transmit us his or her situation of helplessness, provokes a deep interference between our moral impulse towards solidarity and the memory of our privileges. And there´s no priviledged person who doesn´t defend its right towards that privilege, in opposition to those ones whose work and vital development has not bore such fruits.

What is being taught as regular and psicologically safer, is that the reacction to this stimulation has to be of indolence, maybe accompanied with a brief reflection about the incapacity of oneself to intervine on reality, to resignify it. But this indolence which is of us requiered, has a self represive character and it settles us in a pasive acceptance of a state of things that hurts us moreover than our negation, preventing us from constructing alternatives out of our sorrow, and thus, showing itself as the most useless of human reactions.

Working the ghosts in our reality allows us to continue to create potencial realities that can give an answer to those ghosts. The existing distance between “I could be him” and the one who I really am, can be the place from which to start this task.
