Our decisions in relation to the kind of life we desire to have, in many ocasions led us to contradictory situations and confilicting feelings. In this piece we pretended to show an hypothetical moment of self consciousness of a person of our cultture and time, pointing out some of these possible contradictions as well as some of the mecanisms of which we make use of to coexist with them.
The instalation presents how this condition of vulnerability proper of
our childhood prevails in us when dealing with our self consciousness.
The rag dolls facing downwards move with all their weight accumulating
on their heads and hanging from a stream, oscilating at the same time
their thoughts oscilate.These thoughts are formalized in the piece by
two off voices we have generated with computers in other to produce an
effect of oddlyness to the voice of our consciousness.
