We had to address the complex task of rememorization and generate updated collective hope not from a zero point, but from the trauma and silence of our grandparents, to order bits and ask questions to defuse the hegemonic Memory written by the victors, which served to certainty.
This action of memory continues now, in real time, and is operative to lead us in a proyect of present. From this action we can start recalling the truncated experiences of the Misiones Pedagógicas (Educational Missions) and the Ateneo Obrero (Workers Arts and Sciences Association), questioning how to update both the postmodern symbolic world of the workers. What leads women and men to work selflessly, to spend time and energy on the education of others? What moved the workers who could read and write to teach others in their spare time?
The text that emerges from this relentless voice asks what teachers, what missions, what Chorus, Theater, Music, Museum, Cinema, Puppets, public and Athenaeums make sense at the chance constituent of the bankruptcy of global capitalism.
